Iron the cloth and cut the paper pattern. The tote bag is 70x55cm, but you can of course vary the height.
Cut the cloth parts. Then sew the bag with a french seam -> this means that all the seams are sewn left on left (0,5cm inlay – except the handles though 🙂 – then sew right on right (1-1,5cm inlay).
The handles become best if you sew them with a zigzag-stitch and then you just sew the
upper short edges together. Then all you need to do is to attach the bias binding. I made this by myself as well – but you can as well just buy the one you’d like.
