Sweater for life: ANNAMARIAANGELIKA presents handmade knitwear

Today I would like to introduce you to a wonderful new Slow Fashion label. Its name is ANNAMARIAANGELIKA, founded in 2015 by Julia Müller. The name stands for Julia’s grandmothers’ and her godmother’s name which by the way also makes up her own middle name and show her deep attachment to her roots. But at the same time this name emphasizes the new direction she wants to go with this new label. Being already awarded a couple of times for her work in Fashion Design, Julia is longing for more. She combines sustainability with wonderful design, a great sense for colors and a deep appreciation for life.

When traveling to Peru to explore traditional Peruvian knitting, Julia not only discovered the ancient knowledge of which some had been handed down by the Incas but finds in Peru’s nature as well the inspiration for her first label collection “Each Single Moment’s Soul”, a fairly produced knitwear collection made of alpaca wool and cotton.

The collection consists of handmade sweaters, dresses, beanies and scarfs made of alpaca wool. Guys, who has already knitted something? Well I have just finished knitting a sweater by myself. So I can only imagine what it means to knit AND to use different colors and designs. Until Jan 17th, Julia is running a Kickstarter Campaign in order to launch the label and to enable the first sweater production. So, be quick and save yourself one of these wonderful products.
